About the memorial: The memorial is a pair of windows removed from Folkestone West Railway Station Refreshement Rooms. Within the frames are a number of squares of glass decorated with either ears of barley or bunches of hops. At the centre of each window are two roundels of glass with respectively the Arms of the Borough of Reading and a Red Maple Leaf of Canada and in the other the Arms of the South Eastern Railway and the Arms of the County of Kent. The Museums labels state that this was presented "in 1919 by the Royal Canadian Army in appreciation of hte services rendered at the statiom during World War 1." The windows are presently in a stilson in the Warehouse part of the museum.
