About the memorial: A prefabricated concrete building costing £1300 to build in 1949/50 to remember WW2 casualties from the Parish. This was later replaced by another building. Not sure about plaques. Inside was a black metal plaque and dedication in raised lettering. Above was a smaller plaque, hanging from an art deco style flower holder, related to dedication.

The Memorial Hall is Dedicated to those who lost their lives in the Second World War 1939-45" "Lest we forget" 1945 presented by W.V.S. Gt Gonerby in memory of those who gave their lives for freedom 1939.
