About the memorial: The IWM Register does not state a type of memorial for this other than the inscription is on a family headstone. So presumably it is an Addition to Gravestone, except that the inscription seems to imply that he is buried there, in which case it is not a war memorial at all. He is said to have been killed on a trawler, in which case he might either be buried at sea or his body returned to his family for burial here.
