About the memorial: In January 2018 a ring of six bells was installed. Three are original bells in St. Bartholomew’s, two are from St. Mary’s, Mirfield, of similar age and by the same manufacturer, Taylor’s of Loughborough, and a new treble bell by Taylor’s, dedicated as the “Thankful Bell” for the return of the all the village’s men from both World Wars.
