About the memorial: An elaborate bronze casting with a nowy headed top, flaunting a phoenix with outstretched wings above a crown, on top of a semi circular topped central panel showing dedication in raised lettering. On each side is a figure of a soldier with head bowed and standing on a 3 sectioned base. The top step shows "Lest we forget", the 2nd step WW1 names, the 3rd WW2 names. The whole is set against a stone backing wall. Originally in Royal & Sun Alliance Garden of Remembrance Ledsham.
