About the memorial: The original stone memorial is inside Christchurch, Long Load, which has now become a private property. In 2017 the parish council had a metal plaque made, the content of which duplicates the original. It was dedicated at a village gathering with members of some of the named families present.on 11 November 2017. After planning permission was obtained this new memorial was fixed to the outside wall of the village hall.
