About the memorial: A horse trough and drinking fountain. "The memorial is mainly of concrete. A rectangular cistern with heavy lid, on which there is a metal sword, is supported over trough. To L (away from church) bowl of drinking fountain is built in to ogee support. Inscription in capitals (facing road)" British Listed Buildings.
