About the memorial: Marble Tablet, with a Bronze plaque for the company name, a bronze wreath for the names of the fallen, and a bronze plaque for the dedication of the served names, whose names are in black and raised. 156 served and returned. 17 Fallen. The mill closed in 1981. The Manchester and Lancashire Family History Society website says the building is still there as part of a large industrial estate, but that the whereabouts of the memorial are unknown. However, google street view suggests that most of the buildings on the industrial estate are new. The photograph is clearly an old one.
