About the memorial: Tapering granite obelisk on a pedestal and 3 stage base, surrounded by railings and with pinned lead lettering. The memorial is at the end of a rough track about 1.5 miles east of Patna. Just north of a triangular shaped piece of woodland. A new memorial in the village of Patna was unveiled in 2011 (WMO 152486) incorporating the Fallen from the three villages of Patna, Lethanhill and Burnfoothill, the latter two now being abandoned. At the time of the images in 2011 there was opencast mining in the area- this had ceased by the date of compilation of this report in 2018.
