About the memorial: The memorial consists of a pair of steel gates m between two walls into which are set a stone tablet. Very little has been found of when or by whom the memorial was unveiled and dedicated There is a small brass plaque which states that the gate origibally placed there as part of the War Memorial was presented in 1920 by Mr.. R.S. Hall
