About the memorial: A century on from the ending of the First World War, Humphry Davy School and the Old Penwithians (old boys for the school) commissioned an honours board to remember old boys from the school who fell in the second world war. On the 19th of October 2018, visitors, alumni from the school, students, staff and governors gathered to dedicate the new, solid oak honours board that now stands alongside the existing memorial in the school’s Gallery. The craftsmanship of the finished product is a fitting tribute to the twenty three men named.
