About the memorial: The personal effects of Captain Agar-Robartes were returned to his family but stored away and never mentioned until discovered in the 1990s by the manager of what is now a National Trust property. According to an article in the Daily Telegraph of November 11th 1999, they were to go on display when the house re-opened to the public in 2000 and according to the website, they still are.
