About the memorial: Gravespace delineated by four square kerb sections with plain square post to each corner. Lettering on head kerbstone. Space capped and covered by green gravel. Semi recumbent rectangular supported slab toward bottom of space has black lead lettering above and below Latin cross. Square panelled vase with container within space.

YEARS./ HARRIET THE BELOVED WIFE OF JOHN GEORGE WEST/ PASSED AWAY 10TH AUG 1931 (?)/ AGED 77 (?) YEARS. Recumbent stone:- CHERISHED MEMORIES OF/ THEIR ONLY SON/ SYDNEY ALBERT WEST/ 2ND LT. 7TH BN. MACHINE GUN CORPS/ DIED OF WOUNDS 30TH AUGUST 1917/ BURIED AT MENIN GATE/ AGED 19 YEARS/ HE GAVE HIS ALL.
