About the memorial: Grey horizontal rectangular headstone with square top and splayed corners dropping to straight shoulders with splayed corners, drops to straight sides. Decorative tulip flowers within panel to each side, centre shows faded black lettering within panel formed by two parallel lines around top and sides.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

Charles Altoft. Guardsman 2664883. 2nd Battalion, Coldstream Guards. Died 18th April 1945, aged 23 years. Son of Charles and Maria Winifred Altoft of 31 New Row, Santon, Scunthorpe, Lincs. Commemorated Argenta Gap Cemetery. IV.A.10 and Scunthorpe Roll of Honour.
