About the memorial: In the Village hall there is a plaque on the wall which has the names of the fallen from the village in both world wars. The plaque was put in the hall to commemorate the extensions put into the hall after World War 2; this occurred in the 1960’s. This plaque measures 740mm wide by 380mm in height. It is made of a light coloured wood which is screwed to the wall. The World War One names are the same as those on the village war memorial in St. Helen’s Churchyard:-
