About the memorial: Triangular tall stone pillar on a square stone base, with a stone dedication plaque. One of the four men (Robert Ferguson) is buried very close by, but the other three were buried at Dalry- 2 still are, but James McMichael was subsequently exhumed. His subsequent grave location is unknown. Note Access is via a 2km walk from the nearest forest road access and is only possible from April to October. Local advice should be sought first and all necessary precautions taken
