About the memorial: Garden of remembrance with cross within it. Behind the cross is a cloister with 11 recessed arches containing stone tablets. Dedication in the centre arch with WW2 names below it on a bronze plaque. Other arches contain 12 individual tablets. Please note the information in one of the photographs to the effect that the memorial is locked and you have to make arrangements with the council to visit it. This situation was confirmed on a field visit in Summer 2018. Access is by prior appointment with Mole Valley District Council by telephone or via the Help Shop at Leatherhead Library.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
