About the memorial: A tall stone plinth, surmounted by a metal sculpture of Christ. The inscription on the plinth reads, 'My Peace I Give Unto You.' Behind this it a stepped stone wall with metal inscription plaques. Set within a railed garden. First World War (1914-1918), Second World War (1939-1945), Afghanistan (2001-2014), Post-1945 war or conflict Makers - Alfred Long, George Wade, Messrs C R Davis And SonsDedicated Date of dedication 24 October 1931 Attended by: DEAN OF WORCESTER In The Centre Of The Area Set Aside For The Memorial Is A Three-Stepped Base Surmounted By A Tapering Pedestal And A Figure Of Christ With Out Stretched Arms. Directly Behind It Is A Stepped Wall With Inscription And Names On It And To The Right Of This Wall Is A Smaller One For Ww2. All Names On Cast Iron Plaques. Additional Stones Of Remembrance Placed On The Left And Right Hand Sides Of The Low Boundary Wall Which Encloses The Area With Inscription On Them. Wreath In Relief In The Upper Centre Of The Wall, Cross In Relief At The Top Of The Sides Of The Pedestal

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

Before applying for a grant you should read the advice available on War Memorials Trust`s website. The What we can and cannot fund helpsheet explains what types of work the charity can fund.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.
