About the memorial: Granite Celtic wheel cross with carved knotwork detailing on the front. Inscriptions are on lead letters painted black. The cross stands on a stepped base and plinth.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

The front face of the memorial is inscribed: “In sacred memory of” Beneath this, on the front face of the plinth are the names of thirteen men killed during the First World War, after which is inscribed: “Who gave their lives in the Great War 1914 – 1919” The right face of the plinth bears the names of three men also commemorated from World War I, the left face is inscribed “1939 – 1945” below which are the names of two men who died during the Second World War. The front face of the step has the epitaph: “ “They were a wall unto us both by night and day” I.Sam:xxv.16” “This memorial is erected by the people of this parish”.
