About the memorial: Three-stepped base surmounted by a three-tiered octagonal Clipsham stone column further surmounted by a cross. Lower section has the inscribed locations of the theatres of war & the great battles. Names of the fallen are on the middle tier. A brick wall surrounds the structure with a York stone tablet of the names fallen in WW2.
