About the memorial: A gabled calvary cross on top of tapering column resting on tapering plinth containing inscription & names and in turn mounted on 2 stepped octagonal base in a square, rough stoned, stone edged plot. A figure of a soldier holding reversed rifle stands at the front of the memorial.
