About the memorial: A remembrance garden with a large Hornton stone tablet memorial against the rear wall. The tablet has classical pilasters and pediment and includes a Portland stone figure of St George in a central niche. Below are slate plaques with names. The memorial was designed by Mr C E Bateman and built by Bridgeman and Sons. It was dedicated in 1920.
