About the memorial: Architect: Sir Aston Webb. Sculptors: Alfred Drury and W S Frith, Unveiled 12th November 1920 by HRH The Duke of York. No individual names but a list of regiments. Dedication to the men that fell in the 1914-1919 and 1939-1945 wars. Either side are two life-size figures in bronze and on top is a lion carrying a depiction of St George slaying the Dragon.
