About the memorial: Grey marble plaque. The memorial plaque was originally located in Coundon Methodist Church, Collingwood Street, Coundon, County Durham. This church closed in 2002/2003 and the memorial was moved to the Auckland Park Methodist Church.

In loving memory. Erected as a token of deep gratitude and in honour of the young men of this church and school who nobly gave their lives in the Great War for justice, freedom and peace. 1914-1919. [Names]. They died for us.
