About the memorial: The war memorial is a small calvary with a roof on top of a tall, slim shaft on a octagonal plinth and octagonal base. The ceramic dedicatory plaques are located on a wall with a tiled roof to one side of the cross. A wall, with an overhanging tiled roof, holding 5 white stone panels with names topped by a further panel with dedication. This memorial is directly alongside the Lamtern cross St Peter-in-Thanet's Church is also known as St Peter the Apostle's Church.
