About the memorial: The window in in the south wall. Inscription reads " In memory of Bandmaster J Tyson and men of The Dorset Regt killed in action. This window replaced one destroyed by a bomb in 1941The church is now redundant and is not open to the public. However, it has been taken over by an absentee owner who has painted the external doors, windows and gutters. There has been a spate of recent vandalism. All other windows were replaced by perspex, bar the stained glass ones several of which are damaged. This one is in particular poor condition with the lead bars causing the window to concertina. It is proving difficult to make contact with the owner.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
