About the memorial: Wooden table with plain rectangular brass dedicatory plaque affixed to front edge. Plain topped wooden table with ornate carvings around edges and heavily carved legs. The church was closed in 1993 and had since been demolished to make way fro housing. The fate of the memorial needs to be ascertained, as it is to a lady who was interned in Germany and died there so is an unusual one.

THIS TABLE IS SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF/ MRS FLORENCE MARION MANNING/ FOR MANY YEARS A WORKER AND CHOIR MEMBER/ OF BROCK ROAD METHODIST CHURCH WHO DIED/ ON NOVEMBER 11TH 1942 AFTER FIVE WEEKS/ IN DORSTER INTERNMENT CAMP, N. GERMANY./ THE TABLE WAS BORROWED BY HER DURING/ THE GERMAN OCCUPATION FOR USE AS A/ COMMUNION TABLE IN THE CHURCH AND/ WAS SUBSEQUENTLY PURCHASED WITH PART/ OF A BEQUEST TO THE CHURCH IN HER WILL/ TOGETHER WITH THE AMPLIFYING EQUIPMENT.
