About the memorial: US Armed Forces: Stone has 2 bronze plaques, commemorating Flying Fortress Mi Amigo which crashed in the park on 22nd February 1944 with all 10 USAAF crew members killed.Erected by Sheffield RAFA. Enclosed in a raised and wood-fenced, stepped, block-paved area. Accessed within 10 mins on foot upstream from the Hunters Bar entrance to Endcliffe Park, on the Left bank of the River Porter.
