About the memorial: Stone Cross on a stone column stood on a modestly shaped plain stone base with memorial names for World War 1. This stands on a plain stone base (Norfolk flint panel inset to West, North and East faces) which has memorial names for WW2. The whole stood on concrete base with flagstones for roadside (southside) edge. Below this a Norfolk flint stone panel for whole width of memorial facing on roadside. Brief description of the memorial setting: Stands at roadside of the graveyard for All Saints Church Details of constituent parts: Concrete/flagstone base; Concrete plinth; Tall stone column topped with a cross; Norfolk flint panels Details of material: Stone, concrete, flagstone, flint. Details of construction: Flat flagstone & concrete base; stone plinth supporting a second plinth upon which the column stands and which supports the cross. Text of inscription wording: Upper plinth: “Remember those who died for King and Country” “1914 - 1919” Lower plinth: “1939 - 1945” List of names: (Upper plinth) WW1: Frank Lane James Marsham Thomas Preston Raymond E. Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
