About the memorial: The memorial is situated in the grounds of The Plough Public House, Station Road, Plumpton Green, East Sussex. The airfield was about half a mile north of the pub at Bower Farm.. The origional 'Plough' was demolished to make way for the airfield in 1943, and the present pub was built in the 1950's. The memorial was unvailed on 5th August 2000, and for that day only the farm again reverted to an airfield, for an airshow.
