Status: On original site
Type: Freestanding
Location: External
Setting: Within a garden/park/churchyard/enclosure/Marketplace
Description: Wheel cross
Lettering: Leaded
About the memorial: Base surmounted by tapered plinth, tapered shaft and Celtic cross. Inscriptions on three sides of the plinth. It seems that one side and half of another have been added since the 2006 photos were taken and the IWM register report written. The four names added to the right side of the plinth are of the four sons of a former rector. Celtic knotwork design carved into the face and shaft of the cross. It would appear that the cross was principally, and perhaps originally erected in honour of Lt Bryce Stewart, with the other names on the sides added subsequently.
