About the memorial: Inside the church, on the left hand wall at the front of the nave.A stained glass window depicting three wise men attending the infant Jesus sitting on his mothers knee, and with Joseph in the background. Beneath the window is a brass tablet mounted on wood, which reads: This window is erected to the Glory of God and in loving memory of Lieut. Colonel Arthur John Watson who fell in action leading a charge at dawn on the 6th January 1900 at Rensburg near Colesburg South Africa, whilst in command of the 1st Batt. H.M. Suffolk Regt, aged 46 years.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

THIS WINDOW IS ERECTED TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN LOVONG MEMORY OF LIEUT. COLONEL ARTHUR JOHN WATSON. WHO FELL IN ACTION LEADING A CHARGE AT DAWN ON THE 6TH JANUARY 1900 AT RENSBURG NEAR COLESBURG SOUTH AFRICA, WHILST IN COMMAND OF THE 1ST BATT H.M.SUFFOLK REGIMENT. AGED 46 YEARS. THE LORD SHALL BE UNTO THEE AN EVERLASTING LIGHT.
