About the memorial: Standing on the grassed area outside Capel Peniol.A short, circular, polished granite pillar surmounted by a wide lip and integral ornamental urn. The whole stands upon three deep tiered blocks of granite upon a paved square, and is surrounded by a metal fence. On the front diameter, in Welsh, is the commemoration to the fallen of WW1, listing 11 names, in alphabetical order, showing their ranks, and their home residence. On the rear diameter, in Welsh, is the commemoration to the fallen of WW2, listing 3 names, showing their ranks and units, but without residential information.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
