About the memorial: This war memorial is located in St Barnabas’s Church in Heigham, Norwich. The World War I and World War II memorial is in the form of an oak triptych with classical detailing such as scrolls and fluted pilasters. The memorial records the names of those killed in World Wars I and II by year of death, and also records the names of civilians killed and as well as the crew of the B24 Liberator 42-95133 458/753-K who died in the parish on 24th November 1944 (US Armed Forces). The names and some of the decorative detailing are gilt.
