About the memorial: Situated in Ings Grove Park on Huddersfield Road approaching the Town from a western direction The period commemorated is 1914 – 1919 and 1939 – 1945. Description – the Monument is in limestone with a tall column on a square base and the names of the fallen in both World Wars are at the rear of the Monument set in a red bricked walled area comprising of eight plaques.
