About the memorial: Sculpted by R.J. Emerson 1919 and cast by Albion Art Foundry, this is a bronze Roll of Honour for the 36 staff members who served in the war of whom six were killed.Ornate bronze plaque with inscription in relief in the centre and figures placed around the plaque. Britannia is carved in low relief at the top with a flag behind her. She holds a sword in one hand, a staff in the other. Two nude crouching male figures are carved at the base, one either side of the names. A sunset is carved at the bottom centre with a Latin cross to the left of the image. The plaque is in good condition, well looked after by the owners Express and Star with access only available by prior appointment.
