About the memorial: Memorial to John Harvey and John Hutt, on a window sill in the north aisle of the Nave. Originally much larger and free-standing, but reduced in size a few years after it was erected. Marble monument which was originally 18ft high. A Figure of Britannia is carved to the right of the inscription and a figure of fame is carved to the left. Britannia originally had a shield, tident and lion. At the top of the monument is a decorated urn with a laurel carved garland around it. The relief of the battle that was once part of the memorial is now on Capt. Harvey's memorial in Eastry where he is buried.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
