About the memorial: Wooden Framed marble tablet containing names and inscription. This memorial was originally sited in the TOC H (Talbot House) building on Main Street, Cockermouth. This is building is known as 'Regent House' to the east of the Black Bull Public House. The TOC H part was entered through the door between the two shops and was upstairs together with Regent Hairdressers. The memorial was on a wall at the bottom of the staircase for the upstairs. The memorial was transferred to the museum when the Regent House building was refurbished following the 2009 flood in Cockermouth.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
