About the memorial: Within the church at the rear of the nave.In a small oak cabinet with a glazed lid, depicting the crest of 149 Squadron, above is a title label commemorating those of 149 Squadron, Bomber Comand, RAF who lost their lives with the squadron during WW2. The names are listed in alphebetical order, giving rank, initials, and date of death.

Roll of Honour 1939 - 1945. The Roll of Honour of 149 Squadron R.A.F. Bomber Command. It was placed in this church for safekeeping by surviving aircrew and groundcrew om May 6th 1989. 1939 Flying from airfields at Mildenhall, Lakenheath, and Methwold, these young men, often under twenty-one years of age, fought for their Country and died. 1945. They are remembered here. Flight Lieutenant Leslie F. Belton, D.F.C., R.A.F.V.R., A.T.D., F.R.S.A., of 149 Squadron, Scripsit.
