About the memorial: Within the standing walls of the St. Day Old Church, on the inside of the south wall. A marble tablet mounted upon a slate plaque, commemorating Private John Martin, 3rd Bn South African Infantry, killed in action in France, on 3 January, 1917. (Note: Private, 8119. Buried in Faubourg D'Amiens Cemetery, Arras, France. The son of the late Petherick and Mary Ann Martin of Gwennap. He is also commemorated on the St Day war memorial on on the memorial in Holy Trinity Church)

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
