About the memorial: Standing on the south-west corner of the Church of St. Illogan.A granite Latin cross upon a three-tiered square base within a square granite enclosure filled with chippings. The front face of the upper, largest tier, bears the general commemoration for WW1 and WW2. The faces on either side bear the names of 80 men (40 on each in two columns of 20), arranged in alphabetical order of surname and listing just initials, with no ranks, units or dates of death. On the rear face are the names of an additional 13 men, as well as one who fell in Afghanistan in 2010. At the base of the front face, within the square surround, is a horizontal slab listing the names of 57 who died in WW2, arranged alphabetically by surname in three columns of 19.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
