About the memorial: Marble tablet with alabaster frame. Relief of a cross within the wreath above the inscription. The centre middle adorned with a raised Maltese Cross within a wreath of laurels, below which is the general commemoration. Upon a white marble tablet within the border, listed in four columns, are the names of 71 men who died, listed alphabetically, surname first, followed by first names/initials and any decorations awarded: no ranks or units are given. In the War Memorial Chapel (WMO/203756) on the north wall. The memorial is in conjunction with the memorial window above it, both given by the parishioners in 1922. The Window (slightly confusingly) is covered by 203756.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
