Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

Before applying for a grant you should read the advice available on War Memorials Trust`s website. The What we can and cannot fund helpsheet explains what types of work the charity can fund.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

23/08/2013 The names of the Fallen WW1 are at the moment unreadable. 11/9/2016 My great uncle is the third name up from the bottom, Cyril Bryan Jones.The Hereford Family History Society have recorded the names from the scroll in the church which would seem to be in a similar order. Beavan, James Henry K.S.L.I. Killed in action, Ypres 14/7/16 Bodenham Henry Lubienski Black Watch Killed in action, Somme 7/9/16 Bundy, James Albert 1/5 Glos.Rgt. Killed in action, Italy 12/6/18 Holmes, Arthur Herefordshire Rgt. Killed in action, Beersheba 9/11/17 Jones, Cyril Brian New Zealand Ex. Force Killed in action, Flers 16/9/16 Smith, Sidney Herefordshire Rgt. Died in hospital, Oswestry 2/17 Wood, Arthur James 8th Welch Rgt. Died in hospital, Bosra,Meso. 18/10/18 They also cite information from a photograph in the Hereford Times 18/11/1999 that details the inscription as: In perpetual memory of the men of the parishes of Bullinghope, Grafton and Lower Bullingham who laid down their lives in the Great War 1914-1918 Pte.
