About the memorial: Polished grey granite Celtic cross, with knot pattern carved in relief and leaded lettering, painted black, set into foot of cross. Pedestal formed of roughly finished sandstone blocks. Memorial rests on a cement base enclosed by crenelated boundary wall of roughly finished sandstone. Access provided from path by two sandstone steps.
