About the memorial: The bronze memorial plaque is situated to the left of the main entrance. It is north facing and placed roughly 3 feet of the ground ,it is rectangular in shape and is topped by a laurel wreath with a gold coloured St Andrews cross in the centre followed by two columns of staff members. Below this in lighter bronze which has been soldered on later as the marking are plain to see. There is additional names of staff members from W.W.2. The memorial is in good condition.The plaque was designed by (Sir) John James Burnet in 1922. (Source: Dictionary of Scottish Architects)

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
