About the memorial: Celtic cross on rough stone stem standing on square block with inscription and all atop a tapering stone built plinth with inset panels with WW1 names. Rests on further block with WW2 names. Memorial stands on cairn like base and stands in paved area in parkland. Base is in different stone to pillar, block and cross. The memorial has inscriptions of 79 or 84 names for WW1, 16 names for WW2 and 1 name for an unknown conflict / war. The Memorial was unveiled by Duncan MacRae of Crask of Aigas in recognition that the family sacrifice of four of his six sons was the greatest in the area. The memorial the monument is located on the crest of a hill overlooking the junction of the A862 and A831. The monument is constructed of a granite with a pinkish hue and is a rustic celtic cross with wheel-head on tapering pedestal with the commemorations and names of the dead listed on dressed granite tablets set into the face of the pedestal. The pedestal in turn rests on a cairn like base constructed of local stone.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
