About the memorial: Situated – on Lockwood Road approximately 1 mile south of Huddersfield Town centre leading through the village towards the Sheffield Road Description – there are two memorial plaques remembering those who fell in the Great War of 1914-1918. The original one is a white stone memorial situated on an outside wall at the rear of the Church and a further one which has recently been added inside the Church just inside the foyer at the main entrance from Lockwood Road. This inside plaque also includes names of those who lost their lives in World War 11 and the Korean War of 1950-1953. The period commemorated is 1914-1918, 1939-1945 and 1950-1953
