About the memorial: Situated in Britannia Road in the centre of the village and in close proximity to Manchester Road and approximately 6 miles from Huddersfield Town Centre. Description –a large copper memorial plaque set in a wooden frame in the main room of the Club The period commemorated is 1914 – 1918 It is not clear why the photographs of the names on the wall have been included in this entry as these are obviously related to the foundation of the building..
