About the memorial: Placed on the junction of Coach Road & Iburndale Lane. Additional comments by Oldmanofkent following inspection on 09/05/2014: PINK GRANITE CROSS SURMOUNTING TAPERING GRANITE COLUMN. COLUMN STANDS ON SQUARE-SET GRANITE PLINTH. TWO-STEPPED BASE. INCISED BLACK LETTERING ON PLINTH AND BASE. Polished granite pylon with celtic cross. There is a brass plate on the face of the monument indicating it was unveiled on the 18th March 1920. The names commemorated for both conflicts are prefixed by military rank and are arranged in order of rank.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
