About the memorial: Rectangular pillar with battlements. Pillar is set upon six steps. Tablets are set into each face of the pillar, with inscriptions in black with raised lettering. The memorial is 200 yards west of the Parish Church, on the north side of the road. Note that there are many errors on the memorial regarding spelling of surnames, dates of death and rank.
